About this course
Welcome to Pet Estates Inc. online pet care training program, designed to prepare you for volunteer work in caring for the animals residing at the shelter. This educational training course will present topics that include pet health and illness, infection control, safety, time management and customer relations. The classes are designed to increase your knowledge and skill-sets prior to volunteering at the animal shelter. You will gain increased knowledge to leverage in your care of the animals, and make your volunteer experience more rewarding. After completing the class, you will experience less stress, more confidence, and increased safety skills and techniques that will be beneficial for both you and the pets in your care. After completing the class, your knowledge will be a great asset to the animal shelter.
This online class is offered twice every month, beginning on the 1st and then again on the 15th. You must complete the course before the next session begins. Once you have completed all of the requirements, including assessments, you will receive a certificate of completion to present to the animal shelter. If you do not complete the course requirements, you will receive a notice that you did not meet the requirements.
